When I first came to Bond Street to meet the owner I was blown away by the energy and was excited that I could come in and help the Bar Manager establish the Bond Street Social as the place to be. I was originally in the Air Force and when I left, I travelled the world running bars and mixing cocktails but when I moved to Hinckley I was looking for a real challenge. I want to make sure that when people walk through the door they feel that they are loved, working with the whole team here is like having a creative hub with ideas (some a little out there) but it’s always funny and amazing. I love building a rapport with the customers even if it is only for the evening and understanding what tipple will delight them and my challenge.

If I was a drink, I’d be a Mojito: Cool, fresh but on a hot day a little sharp.

Stuart’s Recipe for a Mojito

This is my authentic recipe for a Mojito, perfect and refreshing for any hot summer day.

Ingredients

  • 10 fresh mint leaves 
  • 1/2 lime, cut into 4 wedges 
  • 2 tbs sugar, or to taste 
  • 5 or 6 ice cubes 
  • 1 shot of rum 
  • 120ml soda water
  • Sprig of mint to serve

Method

  1. Place the mint and sugar into a highball glass and ‘muddle’ with the end of a clean rolling pin (remember you are only bruising the mint to release the flavour not crushing it completely).
  2. Squeeze the wedges of the lime over the mint and sugar.
  3. Add the ice and pour over the rum.
  4. Add soda water to taste and stir well. 
  5. Garnish with a mint sprig.

    • For special requests or availability please call 01455 459181 between 10am and 5pm weekdays and we will do our best to help.

    • Friday and Saturday evenings are our busiest evenings and it is not always possible to seat guests though we will always try. It is always preferable to reserve a table to avoid disappointment.

    • If you are given a reservation you will have fifteen minutes to take up the table. If you do not arrive at that time we cannot guarantee to honour the booking and reserve the right to give the table to a waiting party.

      Please be aware that this form should not be used to communicate with us in regard to bookings for gin schools or bar table bookings. Be advised responses may take up to 72hrs.
