COVID 19 UPDATE

BOND STREET SOCIAL IS NOW CLOSED

Dear Customers,

It is with great sadness that under instruction from the Government we will be closing our doors immediately. Since Monday we have been waiting for a clear understanding of how we can support our staff and our community, and the Prime minister has made it clear and understandably so that we need to close as does everyone in our industry. Hinckley’s first and only distillery are committed to the safety of our staff and our customers, especially in such unprecedented times.

I and my staff team have worked so hard over the last 18 months to get Bond Street up and running and invested our hearts and souls into it we have actually had a little cry together this afternoon as we did know this would come. I reiterate what I said last night If you’re going to buy gin buy it from us locally, if you are going to shop think of your local shops and independents first.

We will continue to take account of official guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England and update you as soon as we are able to open again.

We are a community business and we ask that if you can support us, we will continue to support our local community in return. What we are doing now to support our community.

  • We have closed the Bond Street Social, but the distillery will continue to operate to produce gin and today we have been discussing and trialling hand sanitiser. This will be hopefully available next week, so keep your eye out for the website and social media for more further details.
  • We are committed to go further by donating part of our gin sales to food boxes for the most vulnerable and isolated in our local community and will be working alongside an organisation to do this. Our staff even donated all last week’s tips which I have agreed to match.
  • I will not be making our staff unemployed if at all possible, I will explore every avenue of the governments packages and arrangements to support them but in the meantime will ensure that I and the management team continue to talk to them and communicate to ensure they don’t become down hearted and isolated.
  • We’ve reduced the price of the gin at this time to help at this time of hardship. You can order online for delivery, if you choose the local pick up option, we will contact you regarding collection times or we can deliver for free within a five-mile radius.

To everyone please take care, follow the government and Public Health England advice. We will prevail and we are here if you just need to chat or need our support in anyway on social media or an email. We will be sending blogs and info out regularly.

Thank you so much for your continued support, take care of yourselves and be safe,

With much love

Hinckley’s first gin distillery

How do we start to tell the story of Bond Street Distillery? It is hard to put into words the journey we have been on to create this gin. From our founder Sally Faulkner’s initial lightning bolt of inspiration during a night spent with friends who ‘don’t like gin’, to the extensive renovation works of the old hosiery factory in Hinckley where we are now based.

The inspiration, passion and attention to detail we have poured into every aspect of the building’s transformation from a neglected factory to Bond Street Distillery and Social, is the same inspiration, passion and attention to detail we put into the creation of our gins.
