Jane’s Saturday Sambuca

Sambuca is my favourite liqueur. Firstly, I like the taste of the sweet anise flavour and secondly, I love to see the flame.


  • 30 ml of Sambuca
  • A dash of coffee liqueur 
  • A coffee been to serve


  1. Prepare your equipment
  • A thick-walled snifter glass
  • A tumbler
  • A napkin
  • Straw 
  • Matches
  1. Put 30 ml of sambuca in the snifter
  2. Put a dash of coffee liqueur and the three coffee beans in the tumbler
  3. Rotate the snifter five times and use the matches to set on fire
  4. Pour the flame into the tumbler.
  5. Blow out the flame
  6. Place the snifter on the napkin and drink through the straw

  • For groups of ten or more we have a private/exclusive area this comes with host service. This room is available at £25.00 per night. To reserve this space or check availability please call 01455 459181
  • For special requests or availability please call 01455 459181 between 10am and 5pm weekdays and we will do our best to help.
  • Friday and Saturday evenings are our busiest evenings and it is not always possible to seat guests though we will always try. It is always preferable to reserve a table to avoid disappointment.
  • If you are given a reservation you will have fifteen minutes to take up the table. If you do not arrive at that time we cannot guarantee to honour the booking and reserve the right to give the table to a waiting party.
